Infectious Disease Project – web resources!

You assignment is to surf the Internet and find good sources of information about infectious diseases for your upcoming project.  As you surf, think about what disease you would like to research.  You don’t have to decide yet but this will help you get started in the process.  Remember to always verify that your web sources are legitimate.

This site is good becasue it has a list of the most common infectous diseases. If you click on one, it tells you the simptoms, causes, and cures of the disease and talks a little bit about each one.

I like this website because it lists a ton of infectious diseases, the symptoms of each one, their backgrounds, how you can get them, how to avoid getting them, and if you’re unfortunate, how to treat one.

^This is a good website because it has a very long list of infectious diseases. For each disease it gives you a very detailed backround, why it is caused, the mortality rate, and the frequency.

Here is a website about pathogenic microbes that cause infectious disease. This website includes the names of each microorganism, the type of disease it is(virus, bacteria, or parasite), the disease it causes, and what year it was discovered

I like this website because it alphabetize all the types of infectious disease so you could pick one and learn about its cause, treatments ect….

I like this website because it shows you all about the disease and how it is spread and what you can do to stop it. Also it shows you things like the history of the disease and many useful facts about it to also keep away from it.

I like this website because it has a list of all the infecitous diseases and are categorized by what type of disease they are (bacteria, virus, fungi). This site would make it very easy to pick a disease for a project.
