Infectious Disease Project – web resources!
You assignment is to surf the Internet and find good sources of information about infectious diseases for your upcoming project. As you surf, think about what disease you would like to research. You don’t have to decide yet but this will help you get started in the process. Remember to always verify that your web sources are legitimate.
Assignment: Find one good source, paste it into a comment, and tell why you think it is a good site.
Use these sites to help you get started…

Wiki Rubric!
Here is the rubric for the Wiki. I highly encourage you to print it out and follow it closely.
Review Jeopardy
Don’t forget that the middle column on injuries will not be on the test (section 1.3). The test covers 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, and 1.5.
Lab Rewrite Guidelines
Formal Lab Rewrite Guidelines
- You can gain up to half of your points back that you missed originally.
Example: An 80% can go to a 90%, if perfectly written the second time. - Rewrites must be edited electronically and the entire lab must be reprinted.
- You must highlight or neatly point out all the changes you make in your rewrite.
- You must turn in your originally graded paper with your rewrite.
- Just as with tests and quizzes, formal lab rewrites are due 1 week (5 school days) from the date they were returned to you in class.
- If you do not follow any of these guidelines, you will have no chance at earning credit back.

Data from “Your Own Bones”
Now that you have complete the “Your Own Bones” worksheet in class, you now need to enter your data and observations into an online form. This online form will automatically accumulate all of the class’s data into an Excel spreadsheet so we can do further analyzing and graph making.
